Shopping Advice

Traditionally speaking, shops do not open in France on Sundays. There are several shopping centres that open on Sundays (Le Carrousel du Louvre, Les 4 Temps or Aeroville) around Paris.

Many department stores also have the opportunity to open five Sundays per year and choose to open on Sundays during the sales period and during Christmas shopping weekends.

Some shops in the seven touristic zones (among which as rue de Rivoli, la place des Vosges and rue des Francs-Bourgeois in Le Marais, la rue d’Arcole, Les Champs Elysées, le boulevard Saint-Germain ou Montmartre) can also open on Sundays, especially during peak seasons.
